Much research has shown that for most bipolar spectrum disorders where hypomania is key to diagnosis (especially bipolar II), patients often do not accurately recall symptoms of hypomania that are observable to those closest to them.

If you choose to screen for bipolar spectrum disorders, would you consider using the HCL-33-EA External report (attached) to gather observations from patients family members? Why or why not?
